Event: Big Blue Quest Walk/Run 2010

Bring your family and support the fight against colon and rectal cancer during the 5th annual Big Blue Quest — A Fun Walk and Run for Colon and Rectal Cancer Awareness and Research.

Event schedule:
8:00 a.m. - Registration
9:15 a.m. - Announcements & dedication of the Big Blue Quest star
9:30 a.m. - 5K Run/Walk
9:45 a.m. - 2K Fun Walk
10:30 a.m. - Awards Ceremony after the conclusion of the walk Raffles and drawings will be held after the awards ceremony

Entry fee:
Preregistered: $25.
Race-Day Registration: $30.
(Cash, check or money orders - no credit cards)

Registration by mail must be postmarked
by April 1, 2009.

Course location:
The 5K and 2K events will begin at the pool parking lot and wind around the South Ridge of North Park. During the Big Blue Quest, vehicular traffic will be controlled on the well-marked courses. Aid stations will be available for participants.

Parking:
Parking is available at the pool parking lot.

Divisions/Medals
5K Race-male and females in the following:
19 & under, 20-35, 36-50, 50 & up.
A prize will be awarded for the male and female best time.

  Participants:
Bring your family and friends for fun, fresh air and easy exercise while we help save lives and create awareness for colon and rectal cancer. If you would like to make additional pledges, please fill out the form attached and bring it to the event along with the contribution.

For your participation:
An event T-shirt will be given to the first 1,000 pre-registered participants.

Any participant who generates $100 worth of pledges from co-workers, family, friends
or neighbors also will receive an event gift.

Activities and displays:
After the race, light refreshments will be available, along with music and entertainment
by Froggy Radio and educational exhibits about colorectal cancer.

Race Results/Timing
The 5K race is sanctioned and certified by USA Track & Field. Timing done by
Runner’s High.
